VARIOTAG and the UE digital labelling regulation
VARIOTAG are digital labels or electronic labels to supplement conventional labeling in accordance with EU Regulation 2021/2117 of 2 December 2021, addressed to all wine producers, liqueur wines, aromatized wines and wine derivatives dealcoholized that market their products within the European Union market.
The VARIOTAG can be consulted in all the languages of the European Union by scanning a QRcode present on the packaging of each item.
A VARIOTAG must faithfully report all the mandatory information, the list of ingredients, the average nutritional values and disposal instructions for separable components. Information for commercial or marketing purposes cannot be inserted into the digital label and user data cannot be collected or tracked.

Versatile and smart
Choose the rate that best suits your company from 6 profiles. If the number of your products increases, you can always switch from the profile in use to a higher one at any time. You will pay the difference between the two price ranges for the time remaining until the natural expiration of the subscription.
Prices are determined by VARIOTAG packages, i.e. by the quantity of QR codes that can be activated annually based on the number of products you intend to adapt. Buy only the space you need based on the number of wines your brand produces and sells each year. No accumulation with QR Codes activated over time. Protected and always consistent rate.
Update your product sheets at any time with new packaging or subsequent batches. Use the same QR Code without changing the labels if the product does not change season after season. Maintain activated sheets for 10 years with extension on request.

US producers who export their product (Wine, Beer, Spirits) to Europe will have to comply with the new regulation by verifying the compatibility of their ingredients list with the European Unione, labelling the energy value and the average nutritional values per 100ml of product according to community parameters through the practical calculator available for all VARIOTAG users.
